Aviva encourage firms to reduce their plastic consumption

We’re proud to have been single-use plastic free in our restaurants and vending machines since 2018.

As this powerful Earth Day video shows, plastics pollution is not just a threat to nature and biodiversity – it poses risks to human health.

We can all do our bit to tackle the problem, such as by choosing plastic-free products that can be recycled more easily.

Investors can help support companies in their efforts to switch from single-use plastics and offer sustainable alternatives. They can also use their voices to advocate for regulatory and legal changes to reduce plastic pollution across all sectors. 

At Aviva Investors, we are working collaboratively with other investors and stakeholders to encourage firms to reduce their consumption of single-use packaging, implement re-use systems for packaging and phase out hazardous chemicals in plastics, and to call for robust action to end plastic pollution at global level.
