In 1914, at the outbreak of the First World War, Surrey House was the busy head office of Norwich Union Life Insurance Society; 116 men worked in this hall.
Over the next four years more than half of them would serve their country in 'the war to end all wars'. We have bought 12 sculptures by There But Not There, the 2018 Armistice project of Remembered, with proceeds going to the charity. The sculptures represent the 12 men who sadly never returned to their desks. These have been on display in Marble Hall in our Norwich office and are now on tour at our offices across the UK.
