Victoria Treiber details her inspiring experience in a video to raise awareness of autism and other neurodiverse conditions.
Having joined TPE in September 2023, Victoria describes how she was nervous to disclose her autism diagnosis and has been reluctant to do so previously. However, after feeling confident enough to highlight her diagnosis at the application stage, Victoria was able to access support that helped her through the recruitment process, and she was ultimately invited to join the team.
TPE announced the official launch of its Neurodiversity Network Group in January 2024. Victoria is an active member of the group and explains why she joined in the video. She says: “I joined the Neurodiversity Network to demonstrate that anyone on the spectrum, but also anyone on the neurodiverse spectrum, can add so much to the workplace and we can bring different perspectives that those who are neurotypical may not be able to do.”
TPE is currently a Level 2 Disability Confident Employer and provides colleagues with neurodiversity training – delivered by The Brain Trust - in a bid to best support current colleagues and raise awareness of the reasonable adjustments available.
