Mohammad Koheeallee started as a Merchandiser at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners in January 2019. As someone who’s used a wheelchair his entire life due to a birth defect, Mo told Disability First that "no company has ever been able to look past my disability”. But he also says he’s had a good feeling about working at CCEP ever since his first interview.
"I’ve been paraplegic since the age of 6 weeks old, growing up in a wheelchair has always set challenges in front of me but I always overcome them! After searching for a Job/Career for over 16 years I have found myself at CCEP, I’ve always loved the Coca-Cola brand and I didn’t think that one day I’d be working for them. It’s a dream come true. As a Merchandiser I ensure our retailers have everything they need to keep their customers happy. I’m also a #JustBe Ambassador, we’re passionate about Inclusion and Diversity and believe everyone should Be Yourself, Be Valued and Belong."
“My interviewers were a little caught off guard initially, but quickly looked passed my disability. They saw me as an actual human being, and offered me my first full-time job ever. They did everything they could to make me feel comfortable, including meeting with every single store on my patch to be sure I could do the job properly, and training me to do my work from a wheelchair because it’s quite a physical role. All three of the managers I’ve reported to so far have just been incredible at looking at situations from my perspective. Honestly, they’ve been a godsend. Coming to work at CCEP has completely changed my life. I was in a dark place before I started here, but since then everything has fallen into place and I’ve never been happier.”
"Everyone from the start of my recruitment to now have all worked hard to create an inclusive workplace by treating my team and I as individuals. They have always offered support where needed and without the positive and inclusive mindset I have experienced here at CCEP, I don’t believe I could have done or achieved half of what I have been able to!"
