PROUD@WYCA is a staff network for colleagues who identify as LGBTQIA+. The network was set up in 2020.
Our ambition is to be an organisation that is recognised for being a safe space where all staff feel they can be themselves without any fear of being judged and / or discriminated against; to be an organisation proud of having an exemplary approach to equality, diversity and inclusion. This means we strive to be a workplace that is free from discrimination, is anti-racist, and actively promotes diversity and inclusion – both internally and externally.
Join with Pride across the region
Please join us at the region’s pride celebrations through summer, sign up here to let us know you’re coming. Pride is an inclusive event, so there is no need to be LGBTQIA+ and we encourage you to bring family and friends.
Join our internal Pride event
All staff are invited to join our “Internal Pride” which will be a hybrid event on Friday 30 June. Please feel free to drop by (either virtually or to Meeting Room 1) and meet our Network and mingle with colleagues.
You can stay for the whole afternoon, pop in over lunch, or attend specific sessions that peak your interest; with the option to join in-person or online.
