We are seeking to recruit an experienced and hands-on Project Quality Manager to join us at a local project in Sheffield. The Project Quality Manager should be able to engage with stakeholders both internally and externally and be equally comfortable undertaking activities that support the business's day-to-day quality requirements as well as engaging with clients, supply chain and regulatory authorities to identify and drive improvements.

What you will be doing

Reporting into the Project Director, the successful Project Quality Manager will ultimately be responsible for coordinating and managing all QA and QC activities on the project. The Project Quality Manager is a key part of the project team and will liaise with key members of the project to ensure that the Quality processes are communicated, understood and delivered against.

• Promote a culture of Quality across all levels and subcontractors
• Ensure compliance with quality procedures, regulations and legislation
• Monitor and improve project Quality KPIs, reporting to the Head of Quality
• Provide training, coaching, and guidance on quality management
• Conduct audits on projects, supply chain, and internal processes
• Review subcontractor quality documentation and ensure compliance
• Identify and implement best practices and lean approaches
• Physically Inspect work packages for compliance with specifications
• Engage with supervisors and issue Quality alerts to prevent failures
• Escalate and address quality deficiencies, implementing improvement plans
• Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Investigate and resolve non-conformances and defects
• Attend project and client meetings on quality-related matters
• Be flexible and prepared to travel to all parts of the UK and Ireland to support business requirements.
• Provide support at tender presentations if required to do so.

What We're Looking For

• Degree/HNC/HND qualified in a relevant field
• An individual who will embrace and promote our values of We Collaborate, We Commit and We Care
• A passion to do things right first time and possess an inquisitive attitude
• Proven experience as a Quality Advisor in Construction, with a track record in continuous improvement or strong Site Management experience with a keen eye for detail
• Strong knowledge of quality standards, audit procedures, and integrated management systems
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• IT proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital quality assurance systems
• Ability to communicate effectively with key internal and external stakeholders
• Valid CSCS card

Desirable

• CQI Practitioner Level (PCQI) or higher
• Root Cause Analysis expertise
• Lead Auditor/Internal Auditor
