  • Differentiate lessons and activities to support students of varying abilities, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Ensure the safe use of sports equipment, facilities, and resources, carrying out appropriate checks and following health and safety procedures.

  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and relevant staff regarding students' progress, participation, and development where appropriate.
  • Follow school policies and procedures, particularly those relating to safeguarding, child protection, behaviour, health and safety, and confidentiality.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.

Requirements

  • A relevant teaching qualification, such as Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or equivalent recognised teaching status, where required by the school.
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures, with a commitment to promoting students' safety and well-being.
  • A flexible, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to supporting students' academic, physical, and personal development.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one, in accordance with the school's recruitment requirements.
