Breaking the Bias with Tesco Bank

It’s International Women's Day! We wanted to give a shout-out to all the powerful women out there, including our very own colleagues, who used IWD today as an opportunity to Break the Bias and remember that being different is a power that nobody can take away from you.

We hosted a number of sessions throughout the day for our colleagues with some exceptional external speakers, including from the Body Shop and the United Nations, to help celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.

To celebrate, we’re sharing stories of some of our incredible female colleagues. Today we’re showcasing the incredible Linh, and how her work at Tesco Bank helps to Break the Bias.

Linh, Senior Treasury Manager

As our Senior Treasury Manager, it’s Linh’s responsibility to manage the Bank's overall liquidity and collateral positions (that means she makes sure we have the funds to do what we do). From settlements to forecasting she’s been central to some key initiatives that help meet customer needs. Her most recent project? Helping us become a direct member of the faster payments scheme, meaning customers can make payments 24/7.

In her 13 years with us, Linh’s become the strong and resilient role model she is today. She wants to inspire future women, especially part-time working mums – and we definitely bank on her doing that!
