What you'll be doing;

• To assist the Collections Supervisors and Management team in achieving successful delivery of the waste collections service.
• To ensure operatives are working safely and coachand support where needed.
• To assist with the booking of staff in/out, training of staff and liaising with the client waste officers.
• To be proactive and conscientious whilst at work,setting a standard to all operatives by leading by example.
• To stand in and deliver service requirements during the Supervisor's absence.
• Liaise with the Contract Management team, administrators and other Veolia departments in regards to service issues and take improvement action proactively.
• To make the Supervisor aware where additional training is required and to recognise where operatives could be given the opportunity to further their career within the company.

What we're looking for;

• DCPC and LGV licence (Class C)
• Fleet and traffic compliance
• Health and safety legislation
• Work planning and allocation (using a computer system)
• Working in a highly regulated industry
• Leading a team of people
