EU ATS is a high-powered dynamic team which is shaping the middle-mile trans planning and execution, and developing and applying innovative transportation management concepts to improve and enhance the Amazon Transportation network to ultimately drive the best customer experience in a reliable and cost-efficient manner, every time. EU ATS TOM team is looking for a Sr. Program Manager with strong delivery record and leadership experience to own and execute strategic and cross-functional yard projects.

About the role
TOM team focuses on managing the yard activities in the Fulfillment Centers across EU. This team is the interface between FCs and the Supply Chain/Trans organizations. You will be responsible for managing the planning, logistics and financial for your project while ensuring operations compliance and safety related functions successfully executed for the yard operations. You need to have tremendous follow-through skills, sound judgement and the ability to "roll up their sleeves" to support and drive execution of yard operations within a geographic region.

• Perform leadership and program management functions for the new projects for EU TOM across multiple countries
• Correspond with internal and external agencies and teams for planning and managing the yard equipment, training and technology
• Coordinate transportation and yard management training while ensuring the accuracy in safety and operations
• Identify and build on think big ideas and new innovations for improvement in yard operations
• Streamline logistics in the operation through the implementation of standard work and team leadership
• Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools
• Collaborate with Site Leadership on quality and Customer Experience metrics, including the root cause analysis of problem areas


Basic Qualifications

• Completed an engineering degree from an accredited university couple with an MBA
• Significant experience within operations and program management across last mile logistics
• Direct management experience for employees and their performance
• Prior experience with performance metrics and process improvement and lean techniques
• High ability to deal with ambiguity and handle changing priorities, to effectively prioritize, to multitask, and to use good judgment in pressure situations
• Ability to develop creative and scalable solutions independently, and drive them from ideation to successful completion; results oriented; "self-starter"
• Flexible to work a variety of hours as per the business demands
• Strong oral and written communication skills - able to communicate effectively with senior management, tech teams, and international stakeholders
• Basic Experience with SQL
• Fluent in English


Preferred Qualifications
• 3+ years management experience in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment
• Lean process, Kaizen, Six Sigma, process improvement experience
• Interest in long-term career development through assignments in multiple FCs across the nation.
