A Modern Apprenticeship at SQA will give you the knowledge and transferable skills you need to get your career off to a great start. Our established one-year programme offers successful applicants the chance to be part of an innovative public sector organisation, experience responsibility and a variety of work activities all whilst while working towards credible qualifications.

Apprentices on this 12-month programme will be assigned to the Marketing team and alongside work activity with undertake a Digital Marketing qualification at SCQF Level 6.

We welcome applications from 16 - 19-year-olds, or up to 29 if you are disabled or care-experienced.

About the role

You will be part of the Customer Marketing Team, who play a crucial role in promoting SQA's brand and its qualifications around the world. Your role will support the team with varied digital marketing activities including content creation, email marketing, social and paid media. You will also work with digital marketing analytical tools to evaluate success and inform future marketing activity.

By the end of your apprenticeship, you will have learned, digital marketing tools including analytics, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and how to use industry leading graphics and video editing tools.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging content for a variety of marketing channels including email, social media, print, paid search and digital, to meet agreed targets and outcomes.
• Provide administrative support, ensuring activities are carried out accurately, according to plan and ensure compliance with documented processes.
• Support management of customer data and campaign results to support the department's tracking and measurement approaches.
• Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers, ensuring responses are issued promptly, and accurately.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by reviewing and recommending improvements to administrative procedures and systems.

Entry criteria

Applicants must have a National 5 in English /Graphic Design/Art and Design, or alternatively equivalent digital engagement project experience will be considered.
