About this vacancy

We are looking for a Consultant colleague to join the team at Princess Royal Hospital (PRH), Haywards Heath, which is part of the Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals (BSUH) NHS Trust.

The post represents part of a significant investment plan into frontline and specialist medical services for a large secondary care population in mid-Sussex, and medical education to support the expansion of the Brighton and Sussex Medical School. The successful applicant will contribute to inpatient general and specialist care, the general medical take, and Rapid Access Care for Older People (RACOP) clinics, and to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training.

As a teaching hospital, we are looking for an enthusiastic and inspirational teacher, trainer and role model, to contribute to the teaching of the Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS) students, and our trainees. Research interests would be supported and encouraged, including supervision of medical student independent research projects. Appointees would also be encouraged to take on a range of other roles within the department, including clinical governance, quality improvement and audit, and service development.

Brighton and Sussex Medical School is an equal partnership between the Universities of Sussex and Brighton together with NHS organisations throughout the South East region.
