Role: Accounts Assistant
Location: London HQ
We have an opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join our Finance Operations Team here at Gousto!
To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to see the big picture whilst also being able to step into the detail and cover junior team members if required (e.g. during absence). You are constantly curious and do not like standing still - your passion is driving a best in class function.
You thrive under pressure and do not shy away from difficult conversations with internal and external stakeholders.
Day to day maintenance of the company's employee expense system, with responsibility for all key reconciliations
Preparation of the rolling 13 week cash flow forecast
Ownership of a very small B2B accounts receivable function (only several invoices sent per month currently
Coordinating bad debt letters to be sent to customers
Assisting with month end close procedures for banking, accounts payable and accounts receivable postings
Assisting with treasury matters including optimising cash holdings based on cash flow requirements and purchasing foreign exchange as required
Strong proactive management of recurrent errors on the Ops ledger
Back up support for other finance processes (e.g. bank reconciliations, credit cards) when colleagues are absent e.g. annual leave etc
Involvement in other ad hoc projects to improve finance operations procedures
Who you are:
Detailed understanding of accounts payable, bank reconciliations and general ledger postings
Financial literacy - Qualified Accountant or looking to become qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) is preferred
Microsoft Dynamics 2012/365 F&O skills (or similar ERP systems) is desirable
Invoice scanning experience (Pitney Bowes or similar systems) is desirable
