Turkish Police Association

The Turkish Police Association which was formed in 2003 by a few friends who sought to help the Metropolitan Police Service unite communities with a greater sense of common purpose and in a way that preserves different traditions and cultures whilst embracing a sense of pride in the service it provides.

The association aims to:

• To establish a social forum for Turkish members of the Metropolitan Police Service;
• To assist the MPS in developing strategies to attract, retain and promote Turkish members of the service;
• To promote the welfare and interests of the members of the TPA;
• To promote good citizenship and greater participation in the prevention and solution of crime;
• To promote good To provide a focus group for the MPS for Turkish issues;
• To provide mentoring for members (mentoring is defined as: providing welfare through a first contact officer through a support framework as a ’friend’ to the member
• The promotion of such other purposes as may from time to time be determined
