Welcome to VERCIDA website.
Skip to main contentThe Cabinet Office Race Equality (CORE) network exists to support an ethnically diverse and inclusive Cabinet Office. The network aims to provide information on development opportunities and support in pursuing them as well as to provide a space where people can connect with each other and raise any issues. We want to engage all staff throughout the Cabinet Office as part of the wider commitment of achieving a truly diverse and inclusive workplace for everyone. The network has begun to have an impact on the department and is looking to build on these foundations, and extend the networks’ influence and impact.
Augustine Entonu CORE Network Chair:
"The Cabinet Office Race Equality group (CORE) actively engages with and receives the full support of the Executive Committee - to achieve a diverse and inclusive workplace. We have made progress towards increasing race equality at the Cabinet Office through our “Inspire”, “Opportunities” and “Outreach” programmes and are beginning to see results. We now have a policy of a “race diverse panel” by default, for all Senior Civil Service recruitment campaigns which has contributed to an increased representation. We work closely with the HR Diversity and Inclusion Colleagues to implement our programmes and have Business Area Representative who work at the grassroots levels to improve race representation. We have an active mentoring programme and are looking to ExCo for Sponsorship Programmes. Overall, the network has begun to have an impact on the department and looking to continue to build on these foundations, extending the networks’ influence and impact".
