Parenting Initiatives at DWF
We are proud to assist our working parents in DWF. We have Family Friendly Champions who help us to shape best practice and to look at new ideas. Two years ago, we introduced "baby buddy's" where a new parent is matched to a buddy if they want to meet up for support and conversation.
As members of Working Families we support parents and families to balance work and life. We participate in National Work Life annually, a week-long period of activities to support family life.
We also have a Family Friendly hub, a "one stop shop" for all our family friendly information.
As well as support through the legislative frameworks, we also support
- Enhanced Maternity/Adoption pay
- Enhanced pay for paternity leave
- Flexible and Agile working
- Parenting network groups through our online "Yammer Group" for Working Families.
We have also recently joined Carers UK. http://www.carersuk.org/ to offer support for our people who may have caring responsibilities.
