Welcome to VERCIDA website.
Skip to main contentAt Taylor Wimpey we understand that going through menopause is a life-changing event and for many women has a significant impact on their experience of life at home and at work. Its effects can go beyond the person experiencing the symptoms and indirectly impact line managers, partners and colleagues.
We are fully committed to ensuring that you feel truly supported through this journey at whatever age it begins for you, so you are able to manage your symptoms and know we are here for you.
The NHS reveals menopause causes a range of physical, psychological and emotional symptoms. 25% of women experience severe, debilitating symptoms, another 25% experience no symptoms with the majority of women experiencing mild to moderate symptoms.
Menopause is a private issue for some who will find it very difficult to discuss openly and affects their confidence. There is still a taboo around this naturally occurring phenomenon leaving limited understanding amongst line managers and colleagues about the physical, emotional and mental issues associated with the condition and how this impacts women in the workplace. Our aim is to create an environment where you feel confident to discuss symptoms and get support should you so wish.
Our Embracing the Change Network has issued a menopause guide as a personal ‘one-stop shop’ to menopause with the aim to enhance colleagues' current knowledge, however extensive or limited this may be. The guide contains case studies of employees experiencing menopause at Taylor Wimpey, as useful websites/links to menopause groups and documents, along with recommended reading to extend colleagues' knowledge and put them in touch with Meno-buddies if they wish.
"We cannot underestimate the power of connection, sharing ideas and experiences with people of similar interests; and we know how important this is to support our health and wellbeing."

Share your experience, tips and advice with other job seekers on how they can land their dream job. The best contributions will get published!
