At Northern we want to make sure everyone can become one of our future leaders. So, we’re working hard to inspire a new breed of leaders and managers to achieve best practice in our sector through our Leadership Track development programme. And we are committed to supporting all of our managers as they adjust to their new responsibilities.
Everyone in our talent pool also has access to a comprehensive range of development opportunities. That includes secondments and stretch projects, our Leadership Apprenticeships, and an MSc in Management Practices delivered by the world leading University of Manchester Alliance Business School.
Finally, mentoring and coaching play a huge role when it comes to learning and development. We engage with the Women in Rail mentoring programme as well as offering our own internal mentoring programme - all to connect inspiring leaders across the rail network.
