We recognise the huge benefit of having a more ethnically diverse workforce and supporting colleagues to thrive. Currently over 60% of our colleagues are from Black, Asian, Mixed heritage and ethnic minority backgrounds. We’ve been focussing on anti-racism and how to make further progress in this area as an organisation. We ran listen and learn sessions across the organisation to share experiences, ran an organisation-wide survey focussed on Race which was managed independently and the recommendations will be shared. All this work will now feed into the development of a Race action plan created with colleague involvement from our EDI working group and people from across Evolve. This was driven by colleagues voices and data such as our ethnicity pay gap.
