Adjustments at CAA

We continue to work to identify barriers that impact both our ability to support colleagues and, to ensure we are attracting the best talent, no matter someone’s circumstance. We have an Adjustment Policy which we’ve created with the assistance of the Business Disability Forum and which furthers our aims and objectives of our Diversity and Inclusion Plan. Our Adjustment policy provides guidance on adjustments for disabilities and is concerned primarily for people with disabilities. However, it is open to all colleagues to be able to ask for something that might help them at work, either temporarily or permanently.

We understand that many people need support throughout their lifetime and this must always be personal and dependent on each person’s unique situation. The support needed may be short term, longer-term or somewhere in the middle.  Colleagues can access support to discuss adjustments via a range of sources including their Line Manager, their mentor, Employee Forum or Trade Union representatives.

We believe making informed decisions on adjustments works best when all relevant experts are engaged in the discussion to understand the specific situation and adjustments required to create a community of support for colleagues. In addition to HR, IT, Estates and Health & Safety also provide critical support to colleagues and their Manager when discussing, implementing and assessing the impact of adjustments.
