The Government has announced that it will enact legislation which will require most private sector companies employing over 250 workers to publish information showing whether they have a pay gap between males and females.
Regulations must be made by April 2016 and the Secretary of State must consult on the details prior to publication.
Participants will:
- Hear about the current and planned legislation on equal pay
- Consider reasons for pay gaps
- Hear from the Government about its plans for introducing mandatory pay data publication
- Hear from the EHRC about its equal pay project and support for employers
- Consider how the introduction of mandatory publication of pay data can be business friendly
- Hear from a best practice employer on how they audit and publish data
