Event details
Date 08 February 2016
Time 13:00-17:00 (Lunch included)
Location enei Offices, 32-36 Loman Street, London SE1 0EH
Over the last few years, events such as the global financial crisis have led some to questions traditional styles of leadership. There is now a growing body of research that suggests that traditional ‘command and control’ leadership styles are no longer fit for purpose in the modern workplace, which is increasing defined by its diversity and a re-shaping of employee motivations.
An increase in cultural diversity demands an increase in cultural insight from business leaders; age diversity requires leaders to tune into the vastly different aspirations and motivations from baby boomers to Generation Z.
A globalised economy requires high levels of cultural competencies amongst current and future leadership populations. Entering new markets and knowing how customers, clients and staff members think and feel will be a major asset for organisational leaders who seek to leverage organisational diversity and difference.
Within this context the role of the inclusive leaders will be ever more critical to business advantage.
In this cutting edge half-day Masterclass we will:
- Provide you with a set of pre-reading articles on Inclusive Leadership
- Ask you to explore your own unconscious biases by completing Implicitly®, the online unconscious bias tool
- Ask you to complete an inclusive leadership diagnostic questionnaire, to gain insight into perceptions of your leaders’ current inclusion skills and competencies
- Provide you with real world case studies and scenarios from across both private and public sector organisations of inclusive leadership in action
- Through open debate and discussion, help you to develop next step actions to assist your leaders to become mindful of their current behaviours and decision-making processes
Other themes and questions explored will be:
- Is there any evidence that diverse leadership team really do make a positive impact on organisational performance and profit
- The critical business change drivers
