'Communicating with diverse audiences' event on the 16 Feb
Factoring diverse audiences into campaign planning and management is incredibly important. In the UK:
- Nine million people are deaf of have a hearing impairment
- 8% of people have English as an additional language
- 15% have dyslexia
- A fifth of people have a disability
- The average reading age is nine.
This training session is designed to develop PR professionals' understanding, planning and management of inclusive communications. Delegates will learn how to reach diverse audiences and gain an understanding of how to overcome the barriers to communications that exists across traditional, audio and visual platforms.
This event includes a glass of wine/juice and nibbles.

About the speaker
Catherine Grinyer MCIPR is Director of Big Voice, a specialist inclusive communications consultancy. Before setting up Big Voice, Catherine was Director of Communications at the Business Disability Forum.
She became chair of the CIPR Diversity Working Group in 2013. Catherine wrote the CIPR skills guide for members on how to ensure communications are produced in an inclusive way. She is also a member of the PRCA Diversity Network.
