Discover how the BBC uses technology to inform, educate, and entertain audiences, and how you could be part of our team!
Since 1922, technology and innovation have been at the heart of the BBC’s plans to educate, inform and entertain public audiences across the UK. Upholding that tradition has allowed us to evolve our offer and keep pace with the internet age, and to expand our broadcasting and online reach across the globe.
BBC Design and Engineering is our group responsible for designing and operating all of the BBC’s services – keeping us on-air and online, creating new services to delight audiences in their millions. We have teams across the UK and the world making sure that BBC News, Radio and Television reaches the widest audiences, using creativity, innovation, and reliable engineering. We’re always looking for people with the right combination of passion for public service, technical skills and interests, and a collaborative approach to join our team!
At this evening event, in our state-of-the-art facility in Broadcasting House, London, we invite women with experience in or transferable skills relevant to Careers in Technology to learn about some of the technology initiatives under way, hear perspectives from people working in our teams, and meet hiring managers and recruiters. You’ll be able to network with other delegates and BBC employees over a few drinks and nibbles.
Tickets are by invitation only. To register an interest please send a current CV and contact details to
[email protected] and request an invitation. We’re looking for a mix of external and internal delegates who are working in a STEM role at present, or are planning a switch to a STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) career in the BBC.
This is a talent recruitment event. We will consider all CVs. Those invited will be sent a ticket via Eventbrite on or after 5th June.
