ENGIE is proud to sponsor Sunderland’s Work Discovery Week, which returned from June 24 – 28 and gives young people across Sunderland the opportunity to gain the expertise they need to make informed career choices.
The week-long event kicked off with a full day at the Stadium of Light on 24 June, where Andrew McIntosh, Regional Managing Director and Amy Porter, CSR Manager joined colleagues and sponsorship partners to provide a careers fair, workshops and hands-on activities for almost 1000 young people.
Amy said: “We’re delighted to be sponsoring and supporting Work Discovery Week again this year.
“Work Discovery Week is a fantastic opportunity for young people across Sunderland to better understand the working world, which will help them make informed career choices.
“As a business, ENGIE can provide practical insight into the different trades and roles of the construction, property and built industry and we are always looking to help people take their first steps into the regeneration and construction world.”
Work Discovery Week, is now in its seventh year and is supported by a wide range of local and national partners, including; ENGIE, Sunderland City Council, Sunderland College, Gentoo, the Bridges, Sunderland BID, Liebherr, Calsonic Kansei and Northern Print Solutions.
