The Vision of the Asian Professional Awards

The Asian community is now over 8% of the UK’s population and contributes in every conceivable sector of national life.

A study by the Centre for Social Markets concludes that Asian Businesses contribute up to 10% to the GDP of our country. In addition 7 million people in the UK aged 25-49 have a first or higher degree out of which 11% are British Asian.

Our Awards are designed to celebrate and honour the very best of Asian achievement across a range of professional sectors.

Why celebrate Asian success?

London is set to build its 3rd business district dedicated to Asian Business, worth an estimated £6 billion to the UK economy and British Asian professionals are in a unique position to enable corporations to foster stronger links with the East which has the fastest growing economy in the world.

What makes the APA unique?

There are a few awards that celebrate the success of Asian business, however the APA is the first and only platform to recognise and honour Asians who excel in their professional careers and contribute to the success of businesses big and small on a daily basis. These contributions relate to helping their company grow, helping shape their industry and making a difference to the people they work with. These are all too often overlooked. Without this recognition being made more widely there is a vacuum of Asian role models for others wanting to be equally successful in their careers.

We see a world in which there is an abundance of Asian role models who will be a source of inspiration to those considering entering, or those already within a profession. Ours is a unique awards because we are the first awards to celebrate the successes of those people you and I work with, and enable them to be known for the benefit of others. The APA is not only a fantastic platform for highlighting achievement but we are committed to creating a more inspiring world for all, so we invite you to take part.

Judging

We have developed a fair shortlisting process which takes into consideration educational achievements, major professional achievements, contribution to their profession and votes of confidence from others. We also have a high profile group of judges from across all professions to make the final decisions about the winners in their fields.

The Awards

The team at Prestigious Awards Ltd cordially invite you to the inaugural Asian Professional Awards (APA) 2014. There is a growing list of city firms, entrepreneurs, business owners and professionals that will be in attendance on the evening.

The APA is the only pan Asian awards designed to celebrate and honour the very best of Asian achievement across a range of professional sectors including Banking, Finance, Legal, IT & Technology, Medicine, Dentistry, Education, Design & Creative, Media and Public Service.

The evening will include a drinks reception, a luxury 3 course meal, entertainment and networking.

The venue for the awards is the iconic Emirates Stadium which was built at a cost of £470 million and which stands as one of the world’s most breathtaking sporting arenas with a rich foundation of iconic history fused with pioneering innovation.
