VCA: Pia Wilkes Named within Top 100 Women in Automotive Sector

Earlier this year, Pia Wilkes, CEO at VCA, was named as one of the top 100 women working in the automotive sector by Autocar as part of their Great British Women in the Automotive Industry initiative. This is aimed at inspiring more women to consider a career in the industry.  Nominees were selected by a panel of judges from a field of individuals who have succeeded in their particular discipline, acting as role models for others; Pia was nominated in the ‘Executive’ category. 

Pia said: “It was a lovely surprise to hear of the nomination.  My career in automotive engineering has been incredibly rewarding and provided some fantastic opportunities.  Encouraging more women into the sector is something I feel very passionate about so it was great to be named amongst some great company, which included colleagues from another initiative I’m involved in called Women at the Wheel, supported by Deloitte. It was also good to give some exposure to the work of the fabulous agency that I have the privilege to lead.”
