A Leyton resident is building a career in construction in his home community after starting a plumbing apprenticeship at our new Coronation Square development
An understanding workplace
Coronation Square is a modern development of 750 new homes in the heart of Leyton, with a range of apartments and houses surrounding a vibrant market square in the heart of the new community.
Leyton resident Darren was looking to learn a trade and found the perfect opportunity with an apprenticeship on our site, through Waltham Forest Council - our partner on the development.
Darren said:
“I find that Taylor Wimpey is good to work for as I’m always given the opportunity to learn new things regarding different types of pipework, and regulations."
“I do take pride in being a part of the construction side of Coronation Square, as I’ve grown up here and it is a great place to bring people together."
“You’ve got the communal area, the homes with the shops underneath and soon the sports centre too. It feels good to know that my four kids are growing up in a safe environment and with Taylor Wimpey being very flexible with childcare, it’s like a jigsaw falling into place.”
