Anxiety is a normal emotion in us all, but sometimes it can get out of control. Lots of things can lead to feelings of anxiety including; relationships, money worries, pressures at work or other big life events. Anxiety is one of the most common mental health problems we can face. In a recent mental health survey carried out by the Mental Health Foundation around stress, anxiety and hopelessness over personal finances, a quarter of adults said they felt so anxious that it stopped them from doing the things they want to do some or all of the time. Six in ten adults feel this way, at least some of the time.
Our first event will be 'How to overcome stress & burnout and find balance, peace and happiness' with Sarah Tait, Corporate Leader, Inspirational Speaker and NLP Master Coach. In this talk for Mental Health Awareness Week, she shares her own journey of overcoming stress, burnout and a psychotic episode to find balance, peace and happiness in life.
We are also holding a virtual event with Westfield Health, Normalising mental health support in organisations. Cathy Lawson, Independent Workplace Health and Wellbeing Consultant, MHFA Instructor and Coach and Richard Holmes, Director of Wellbeing, Westfield Health discuss normalising mental health support in organisations.
