What do you like most about working here?
There is a big sense of ownership at Moneysupermarket Group. One of the things I like the most is that you get the space you need to do things your own way, to innovate and be creative. You feel in charge of your own work, as opposed to being tightly micromanaged. This could be chaotic if everyone did as they pleased, but there is also a strong collaboration within and across teams. You never feel isolated - you are always tackling things together.
What’s the most challenging thing about working here?
The most challenging thing is probably the wide range of products that we have. We cover so many markets that if, like me, your team sits across many products, you end up having to learn the ins and outs of many markets. It’s almost like working for many different small companies at the same time! It can be challenging, but it is also rewarding in its own way. It means that there are so many different interesting problems to solve, you are unlikely to ever get bored. It also enables a lot of internal mobility and people tend to stay many years in the company, as there is plenty of space for growth and learning.
What makes Moneysupermarket Group unique?
It's the people, without any doubt. Everyone I’ve met here is brilliant and so friendly! We've got a great office and lots of opportunities to socialise. This creates a very supportive culture to work in, top to bottom. It’s so noticeable how much employees are put first here!
How has your career developed during your time at Moneysupermarket Group?
I haven’t been in the company long but even over these few months I already feel like I’ve learnt a lot. Right after starting I got the opportunity to tackle projects by myself and I learnt so much. Now I have got plenty of exciting work coming up in my pipeline in the next few months. Also, you will always be supported if you want to spend some time doing an online course or learning a new skill. I feel very positive about my learning curve at Moneysupermarket Group!
What advice do you have for someone looking to join?
Go for it. Be yourself during the interview process. Once you’re on board you definitely won’t regret it. Moneysupermarket Groups culture is unique and it enables people to thrive in what they do best. It’s a great environment to work in, highly dynamic and fun.
