Join us on Tuesday 23 March from 4pm - 5pm at our virtual event 'Network 25 & YOUnited presents: Breaking barriers – How to succeed as a woman in cyber security'.
The event will be hosted by Ashish Surti, Colt’s EVP Technology & Security and will feature a panel of women from diverse backgrounds who have forged a career in cyber security: Maiysa Al-Dhanki, Assistant Manager - Cyber Security, EY; Eliza-May Austin, CEO of PocketSIEM; Ibukun Emmanuel-Adebayo, Director - Ladder Back Down; and Shaojing Elfin Lei, Cyber Security Consultant, Deloitte.
In this session you'll hear about each panellists backgrounds, their path to working in cyber security, some challenges and stereotypes that they have faced, and how they have overcome them.
You'll also have a chance to ask questions, and hear advice and guidance on pursuing a career in cyber security for wherever you are in life.

An ambitious professional experienced in cybersecurity, Maiysa Al-Dhanki has demonstrated her skill, experience and leadership across MENA and at an international scale in multiple engagements including participating in different cyber security events and projects.
Maiysa graduated with a Masters degree from Royal Holloway University of London and is certified as Chief Information Security Officer , ISO/IEC27001:2013 lead implementer and lead Auditor and Certified IT DR Planner. She was recently the WiCSME2020 Awards winner for woman cybersecurity Consultant.
Eliza-May Austin is the CEO of PocketSIEM the world’s most cost-effective SIEM service. Eliza also Co-founded th4ts3cur1ty.company, a tech startup specializing in cyber defence through adversary emulation purple teaming and building corporate defences against cyber attack.
Eliza is the Founder and Director of Ladies Hacking Society, a Not for profit organisation and the world's largest all-female CyberSecurity group.
Ibukun Emmanuel-Adebayo is an experienced CIO/CISO and GRC leader, who has led and worked with many exceptional individuals within the Financial Services, Social Enterprise, Arts, Local Authority, Professional Services, Online Retail, and Charity sectors – including as IT Chief at the Royal Albert Hall in the UK.
Often recommended as a professional leadership, IT and Cybersecurity Summit Speaker by her CIO/CISO peers, Ibukun holds multiple leadership qualifications, including Board Certification from the Institute of Directors. In 2007, Ibukun was elected a Chartered Fellow of the British Computer Society.
A Chinese national living in the UK, Shaojing did financial management related double degrees for undergrad in both China and Australia before having a 360 degree career change, discovering the world of cyber security with her first Master’s in the UK.
Shaojing has since joined Deloitte while completing her second Master’s degree on information security. After two years of bringing together her academic knowledge and on-the-job experience, she now specialises in AppSec / DevSecOps and is devoted to driving a better secured cyber world.
Ashish Surti is Colt’s Executive Vice President (EVP) - Technology & Security, reporting to Chief Executive Officer, Keri Gilder.
Ashish is responsible for Colt’s overall technology and security strategy and execution; ensuring Colt streamlines its systems and processes while industrialising the organisation's digital ambitions, enhancing security and improving its data quality across the business.
