Embracing Mental Health Awareness Week at CBRE

In today’s fast-paced and ever-changing world, fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace has never been more crucial.

As Wellbeing Lead for UK Advisory, I feel proud that we live by our WorkWell vision, encouraging people to thrive in a supportive and inclusive environment. Our Wellbeing journey is ever-evolving (and always will be as the world moves & shakes!), but the appetite people have at CBRE to learn, be open and grow are crucial building blocks to foster progress and change.

Last week, Mental Health Awareness Week provided the perfect opportunity to elevate the voices of those affected by mental health at CBRE. We were delighted to launch our awareness campaign “This is Me”.  The campaign provides a platform for our colleagues to share more about their mental health condition(s), how it affects their day-to-day and the support they’ve found invaluable.

Each of their stories is unique, educational, brutally honest and inspiring, covering conditions such as Depression, Anxiety, Eating Disorders, PTSD, Globus and Bipolar. A HUGE thank you to everyone involved for being so courageous and sharing such personal stories so that others can learn.

It's a big step talking about mental health so openly at work, but a step in the right direction for mental health to be recognised, understood and supported. Let’s continue the conversation…

Thank you to all involved in our MHAW activities last week, from a guided Mindfulness session to Pilates, a Safe Space discussion to a Wellbeing Walk, plus the launch of our new health & wellness app, TruConnect! It was fantastic to see so many people take the time to make it special.
