We’ve had a fantastic year of fundraising, raising over £40,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society, our 2016 Charity of Choice.
There have been all sorts of creative fundraising activities ranging from baking and themed fun days to running marathons and climbing mountains, all in the name of the charity.
To celebrate and say a big ‘Thanks for giving’, everyone at the DVLA was entered into a free prize draw for a spooktastic Halloween hamper.
This is the second time this year we’ve run a free hamper draw when a fundraising milestone has been reached. We understand the importance of thanking everyone for their hard work and generosity.
The lucky winner of the Halloween hamper was Lauren Docherty from our Contact Centre.
Lauren said, “It was a lovely surprise to receive the phone call telling me I’d won the hamper. I never win anything so I’m over the moon. I’m also delighted at the amount that’s been raised for the Alzheimer’s Society.”
We’ve already achieved our fund raising target for 2016, but it doesn’t stop there. With the holidays fast approaching, Christmas raffles and other exciting activities could push the final total up to £45k!
