The Department for Transport (DfT) along with its executive agencies, are excited to announce that they’ve signed up to the Good Recruitment Charter.
The charter defines good recruitment practice through nine key principles, developed by the Recruitment & Employment Confederation’s (REC) employers’ advisory panel.
Sarah Tuner, DfT Group HR Operations Deputy Director Said:
“Being one of the first Government Departments to sign up to the charter shows our commitment to making recruitment within the Civil Service the best it can possibly be. Through the nine key principles, DfT will aspire to be a class-leading recruiter, attracting and retaining the talented individuals that will allow us to grow and deliver the infrastructure needed to keep the UK on the move.”
Jayne Ryan, Head of DfT’s Resourcing Group said:
“Attracting the best talent is one of our key priorities and to make this possible, we’re using the Good Recruitment Charter principles to help improve the candidate experience and support our recruitment strategy, allowing the department to continue to be a great place to work”
