This week, around 180 ASOS employees have been taking part in the Walk for Water Challenge in order to raise money for Project Pipeline in Kenya. Staff from the ASOS offices in Barnsley, Birmingham, Hemel Hempstead and London have been walking one of four 24-mile routes to raise money for the charity.

The Walk for Water Challenge has so far raised around £34,600 for Project Pipeline. The money that has been raised will be used to help build essential long-term water infrastructure in Kasigau, Kenya. This includes more pipes, tanks, catchments, repairs and boreholes in order to create real change. The money raised will also help to respond to the emergency drought situation in East Africa that is severely affecting the people of Kenya. ASOS Foundation have partnered with the SOKO community in the aim to deliver clean water trucks to every school in the region every month, until the drought is over and the water reserves are secure. Their work will protect around 4,000 children from dehydration and it will allow them to continue their education and have access to clean drinking and washing water.

During the four days, ASOS employees have walked around 96 miles in total, showing their commitment to the ASOS Foundation and the important work that they have been doing for Project Pipeline in Kenya. If you would like to follow the ASOS Walk for Water Challenge, please click here.

In addition to the Walk for Water Challenge, 25 ASOS employees from the Barnsley Warehouse took part in the ‘Total Warrior’ challenge, and many other employees have been taking part in bake sales, across the ASOS offices in order to raise money to support the ASOS Foundation.
