Top Marks for Ashley: ONR Graduate Earns Academic Recognition

It’s top of the class for Ash, One of our graduates has won plaudits for achieving the highest overall mark in his master’s degree course.

Ashley Oshinowo, who joined ONR as part of the nuclear graduate scheme in late 2021 after completing his master’s at Manchester University, was awarded the prestigious Nuclear Technology Education Consortium (NTEC) academic prize for his MSc Nuclear Science and Technology degree.

The 24-year-old, who is currently on placement in our Sellafield, Decommissioning, Fuel and Waste division and will collect his award at a Nuclear Institute event later this year, said: “I was thrilled to hear the news, although it still hasn’t quite sunk in yet! I’m thoroughly enjoying this placement, shadowing colleagues on regulatory issues, which has been excellent for my development."

Paul Dicks, ONR’s Deputy Chief Inspector, said: “I would like to congratulate Ashley as it’s a terrific achievement and something he should be extremely proud of. We look forward to continuing to support and progress his career in ONR.”
