We want to support all our people to have a fulfilling career while balancing this with their family and home life. Our policies cover enhanced maternity leave, paternity leave, shared parental leave, adoption/surrogacy leave, family support, carers leave (up to five paid days for caring responsibilities), and global family leave (16 weeks of paid leave).
We’re proud to be recognised as one of the UK’s top 10 family friendly employers by Working Families, a place we’ve held for seven consecutive years – a testament to our commitment to supporting families in the workplace.
Our Family Matters Network provides support around all aspects of family life. We have a wide focus; including promoting the balance of work and family life, supporting working parents/guardians, and supporting those who are caring for vulnerable, elderly, or disabled relatives.
As part of our commitment to the well-being and personal development of our people, we have memberships with several organisations to ensure we are following best practices. We run regular events to address and educate ourselves on issues modern families face and seek to ensure that the firm's policies and procedures support those trying to balance work and family commitments.
Most recently, the network has established a Return-to-Work Buddy Scheme which partners up those returning to the business from extended periods of leave (family leave, sickness absence, career break, etc.) with volunteers with similar experiences.
In collaboration with the network, we continue to partner with Working Families, sponsoring the most comprehensive study of the experience of work and family life in the UK and will capture how working parents and carers on lower incomes are managing to balance work and family life during the cost-of-living crisis. Results of the survey have previously guided further academic research, consultative work with employers, and influenced government policy.
