Accessibility Limitations

Due to certain constraints, we have had to include technologies and features that may cause accessibility issues. These include:

  • Google Translate plugin
  • Google Maps plugin
  • Video and Audio transcripts are available on demand
  • Some images or downloadable content which is updated manually on the site

We are making every effort to overcome these limitations through improvements to their accessibility. Failing that, we have provided accessible alternatives.

If you need alternative versions of our downloadable documents (such as plain text or braille) or if you experience any accessibility problems with our site, please contact us.

VERCIDA does not assume responsibility for third party applications.

Accessibility Guidelines

This site has been developed to conform to level AA of the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0. These guidelines are the internationally recognised benchmark for building accessible websites. The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) explains how to make websites more accessible for people with disabilities. Conformity to these guidelines also makes websites user-friendlier for everyone.

Accessibility Accreditation

Such is our commitment to accessibility, we asked the Shaw Trust Accessibility Services to audit our site. The 60-hour audit was carried out in May 2017. Our developers implemented all recommended changes to ensure the Vercida platform interacts with assistive technologies and provides the best user experience possible.

For more information about Shaw Trust Accessibility Assessments, please visit the Shaw Trust Accessibility Services website.
