At the end of March, our Beyond Abilities Employee Resource Group held its first event: a Fireside Chat with Brit colleagues sharing their experiences on disabilities and long-term health conditions.
Over 100 colleagues across Brit attended the hybrid session hosted by Zia Ali and featuring Liusha He, John Rowlands and Lucy Raymond as our panellists, which proved to be an informative and engaging discussion with plenty of insightful questions from the audience in the room and online.
Thank you to all our colleagues who joined - we're confident that these conversations about disabilities and long term health conditions will continue to be had following this fantastic event.
Brit’s Neurodiversity, Visible and Non-Visible Employee Resource Group assists us in sustaining an inclusive approach to disabilities and long-term health conditions, regardless of whether they are visible to an observer.
Our Employee Resource Group meets regularly to discuss topics and challenges and raise suggestions for change through to the Inclusion and Diversity Committee.
We provide workplace adjustments to those who need them and have formed a partnership with Business Disability Forum to provide us with expert advice and assistance when we need it.
We held a People Forum Event to raise awareness and spark conversation around visible and non-visible disabilities. This was an important opportunity for us all to explore how we can bring more awareness of disabilities, both visible and non-visible, to Brit and to continue to build a workplace environment that supports people with disabilities.
We are proud to be a Disability Confident Level 1 Committed employee.
