This position is critical for the company's long-term success and sustainability. The financial services industry is undergoing rapid changes and disruptions due to technological innovations, regulatory shifts, customer preferences, and competitive pressures. The company needs a visionary and experienced team member who can join the Asset Servicing team who can guide the groups strategic direction and help it adapt to the changing market conditions and customer needs. The Head of Strategy will play a key role in shaping the company's future and ensuring its continued growth and profitability.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: - Leading the definition, development & communication of Asset Servicing's strategic vision and goals ensuring alignment across Platforms & Geographies.
- Working closely with senior management, business units, and external partners to identify, analyse, and prioritize strategic opportunities and initiatives that drive growth, profitability, and competitive advantage.
- Overseeing the implementation and monitoring of the strategic plan and ensure alignment with the company's mission, values, and objectives.
- Embedding internal & external data and intelligence sources into our strategic assessment of opportunities for growth and expansion
- Collaborating with Business Development Teams to support Executive Strategic Engagement with significant clients
- Improving BNY Mellon's Asset Servicing External profile through regular Thought Leadership programs aligned to our strategic vision & goals.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- A master's degree or higher in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field
- Proven track record of leading and managing complex strategic projects and initiatives from inception to completion.
- Vast experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or strategic planning in the financial services industry
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Intellectual curiosity - interested in the future of financial services and shaping an industry through one of its major stakeholders.
- Thoughtful communicator who can express complex ideas in simple, practical terms for a wide range audiences.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives and stakeholders across the organization.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
