British Canoeing has celebrated success in its inclusion work, achieving the Intermediate level Equality Standard for Sport and compliance with the Code for Sports Governance; and delivered resources and training on disability awareness, to support ongoing engagement with disabled communities in paddling.
"I want to see an inclusive community that welcomes and listens to anyone that picks up a paddle. There are many barriers when you live with a disability but so many are easily overcome, and it’s hard to express the enormity of the benefits I get from paddling.
