This prestigious accreditation, established by Henpicked: Menopause in The Workplace (www.menopausefriendly.co.uk), acknowledges organisations that maintain high standards and effective practices for supporting menopause in the workplace. As the only industry-recognised accreditation with clearly defined standards, it is widely regarded as a significant mark of excellence.

To obtain this accreditation, employers undergo evaluation by an Independent Panel and must provide evidence of their effectiveness in five key areas: culture, policies and practices, training, engagement, and working environment.

Jennifer Chance, Head of People at Bromford, expressed her pride in the achievement, stating, “I am delighted that we have been accredited as a Menopause Friendly Employer. Menopause can affect not only the individual experiencing it but also their family members. It’s important to raise awareness and ensure we provide the necessary support for everyone to thrive during this time.”

Bromford implemented several impactful initiatives, including:

  • The creation of a menopause guidance and support hub
  • The introduction of visible and approachable menopause champions across the organisation
  • Hosting bi-monthly coffee catch-ups, providing colleagues with a safe and open space to share experiences and offer mutual support

Bromford is proud of its success and the recognition that menopause can affect all family members, not just the individual. By raising awareness, the organisation is helping everyone navigate the challenges of menopause in the workplace more effectively.

Deborah Garlick, CEO and Founder of Henpicked: Menopause in The Workplace, praised Bromford’s efforts, stating, “The independent panel acknowledged Bromford’s commitment to creating a menopause-friendly environment for its colleagues. By following a structured framework to achieve accreditation, Bromford has fostered genuine, sustainable, and meaningful change. Their dedication to regularly revisiting targets and results ensures that this supportive culture will continue to thrive.”
