At BNY Mellon, we support the development of our workforce and the advancement of underrepresented talent, including women, with company-wide initiatives such as mentoring, reverse mentoring and sponsorship programmes and professional development programs.
WIN supports the advancement of women at BNY Mellon by offering a deep roster of professional development opportunities, including leadership roles, mentoring ad sponsorship, skills training and networking with peers, clients and the company’s executive leadership. WIN’s Male Allies programme helps to break down the perception that gender equality is a women’s issue.
With a focus on retention and ongoing career progression of female talent, the Working Forwards Programme is a Wellbeing and WIN partnership event targeting parents who are currently on or have recently returned from parental leave.
With the objective of demonstrating the firm’s ongoing commitment to this population of potential future leaders, the programme aims to provide:
- An opportunity to connect with those in a similar situation
- Learning and insight from others’ lived experience
- Business connectivity and demonstration of leadership focus in their success
- Practical tools and techniques for resilience in a new career phase
Menopause Support
Recognising the impact of menopause, we continue to raise awareness and invest in resources to support employees and managers, including a digital resources hub, regular discussion forums, insights from senior advocates and access to medical experts and specialist consultation.
Additionally, from February 2023, UK employees can access a new Menopause Service where they can book virtual consultations with a menopause-trained GP, which includes prescriptions.
