Thales Belgium SA, Belgium competence center of Thales, is a company located on 2 sites, one in Tubize (near Brussels) and the other one in Herstal (near Liège). Thales Belgium, which employs more than 280 collaborators, is specialized in the design, development and supply of critical information systems for customers in the sectors of Defense, Security (including Cyber) and Aerospace.

In this context, we are looking for a:

Vehicle Integration & Test Technician

Mission:

As an experienced Integration & Test Technician, you will work for Thales Belgium at our partner's facilities in Staden (West Vlaanderen, Belgium).

You will be accountable for the integration and the testing of both software solutions and electronic equipments on vehicles.

You will be the point of contact within Thales but also with our partners on this project.

As part of your onboarding, we will provide you with in depth training in different locations depending on the subjects: Cholet, Gennevilliers and Roanne.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a portion of production tests or analyses on products in operation.
  • Analyze and validate technical developments, formulate and implement new solutions.
  • Apply testing instructions based on technical specifications and using measuring instruments.
  • Participate in critical equipment analysis.
  • Write and update quality documentation and indicators.
  • Initiate and manage continuous improvement actions
  • System testing (electrical and vetronics) on each vehicle:
    • Carrying out tests on a semi-automatic test bench
    • Troubleshooting and repair of equipment and supplies on vehicles
    • Document management, configuration management and traceability
    • Completion of Vehicle Acceptance Results Form
    • Management of Thales spares stock
  • Coordination of production activities at our partner's production site in Staden:
    • Supervision of all Thales integration and testing activities on all vehicles
    • Coordination and reporting of activities to the Project Manager
    • Management and follow-up of materials to be integrated and tested on the production line
    • Interface between all partners of the project on planning, vehicle availability and work progress, participation in Day to Day routines.
    • Management and follow-up of technical facts in relation with the technical teams of the 3 companies partner of the project
    • Point of contact for our partner in the event of any questions following vehicle testing.

Profile:

  • Bachelor or equivalent experience in electronics integration and testing.
  • Fluency in both French and Dutch is essential. A good command of English is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently with a team player spirit.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience conducting tests and analyses on electronics is an asset.
  • Proficiency in writing documentation and updating quality indicators.
