Thales Belgium SA, Belgium competence center of Thales, is a company located on 2 sites, one in Tubize (near Brussels) and the other one in Herstal (near Liège). Thales Belgium, which employs more than 280 collaborators, is specialized in the design, development and supply of critical information systems for customers in the sectors of Defense, Security (including Cyber) and Aerospace.

Mission:

As the market seeks a significant capacity increase, the Herstal site is growing at a steady pace. You will be leading infrastructure projects. These projects imply the cooperation among various services among the company and many sub-contractors. These partners may be governmental or intergovernmental institutions, as well as academic institutions or industries.

Main Responsibilities: Take on the role of leading the implementation of the infrastructure strategy of the board of directors. Your job is to ensure that infrastructure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and within budget, in order to help the company to achieve its business targets.

• Lead the project preparation phase by refining our needs
• Build up the project team, define the Work Breakdown Structure and associated Organization Breakdown Structure
• Schedule and plan the project
• Manage the project and be accountable & respect the stakeholder commitments while managing the risks and opportunities
• Monitor project execution and adjust the trajectory to improve the project efficiency in terms of Quality, Time and Costs
• Ensure the continuity of the project by anticipating procurement activities, mitigating risks and coordinating the subcontractors
• Offer local support to subcontractors by responding to their inquiries and concerns
• Ensure safety on site and compliance with security rules
• Manage the legal and contractual obligations and master the litigations
• Carry out the reporting, the projects and the phase review meetings

Profile:

Required level of studies and experience

• Engineer degree, with at least 3 to 5 years' experience in project management in a construction company.
• A certificate of Safety for Operational supervisors like VCA is an asset;

• You have strong spoken and written communication skills;
• You are comfortable with technical documents writing;
• You are able to work inside matrix teams and you are a real team-player;
• You always challenge yourself in order to bring new ideas and new skills in your day-to-day job;

You are fluent in French, English (oral and written communication);
