LGBTQ+ at Sport England
Our LGBTQ+ Network gives colleagues, primarily those who identify as LGBTQ+ but with allies welcomed too, a space to be authentic "without apology, explanation or self-censorship." The network provides peer-to-peer support, raises awareness across the LGBTQ+ spectrum, and has recently focused on recruiting new co-leads and hosting events such as a Pride Month lunch and learn. We report that 7% of our employees identify as LGBT+, which we note mirrors the 5-7% national average. We also cover LGBTQ+ and trans inclusion as part of our wider learning and development curriculum.
