Disability Support at Sport England

Our approach to disability inclusion centres on STRIDE, our network for disabled colleagues and those with lived experience of disability, which is also open to family members, carers and allies. The network gives disabled colleagues a supportive community, while helping us shape policy, practice and culture across the organisation. We hold Disability Confident Leader status (Level 3), the top tier of the government's employer scheme, and we offer a guaranteed interview to disabled applicants who meet the essential criteria for a role. We're also a member of the Business Disability Forum. In 2026 we plan to carry out an Accessibility Maturity Model assessment, to help us identify strengths and gaps across our working practices and physical environment.
