Disability and Accessibility Support at Bristol SU
Bristol SU is proud to be accredited as a Level 1 Disability Confident Employer making a commitment to the recruitment, development and retention of disabled staff. As part of this we operate a Guaranteed Interview Scheme within our recruitment process, for disabled people.
It is important that at Bristol SU, we take all reasonable steps to reduce any barrier an employee may have to support them to disclose they require reasonable adjustments to support them in the workplace. This is why we have incorporated ‘touch points’ in the full employee lifecycle, from the recruitment process, and onboarding to regular one-to-ones, where encouragement and opportunity are given for disclosure and support.
Bristol SU will offer a range of support to disabled members of staff. The extent of this support will be dependent on the needs and circumstances of each individual, who will be consulted on any reasonable adjustments which may need to be made. All adjustments will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
