Gender Equality & Identity at Sport England

We run a Women's Network, a space for women to connect outside of work functions, with a mission to create and nurture a culture that allows women to thrive. Our current priorities include leadership and development, perimenopause and menopause, and caring responsibilities, and we're building closer ties with the Women's Sports Collective. At board level, women hold five of our ten seats, six percentage points above the 30% gender target we set ourselves. On gender identity specifically, our support runs mainly through our LGBTQ+ Network and dedicated training on trans inclusion, rather than as a separate strand of its own.
