Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO) London is a charity that provides access, training and mentoring for outstanding young people from under-represented and under-served communities.  We have two platforms for those in education - one for students at university (SEO Careers) and one for students at secondary school (SEO Scholars).

SEO Careers focuses on helping students from under represented and under served communities to secure places on some of the most rewarding and competitive internship and graduate programmes in the UK.  We also provide students with a comprehensive training and mentoring platform to ensure their long term success.

Since 2000 more than 80% of the 3,400 students we have supported have gone on to secure graduate roles with our partner firms.  In 2014-15 we will be placing students with more than 60 of the UK’s most prestigious employers.

SEO Scholars is a more recently established platform that seeks to help talented secondary school students from a wide range of under-represented backgrounds.  This includes students from BME communities and also those that are from low income families or families with no history of university education (irrespective of their ethnic origin).   SEO Scholars are given a wide range of support, mentoring and training designed to help improve their career and university awareness and also academic attainment.  SEO Scholars partners with state schools and academies across all 32 London Education Authorities and also benefits from support from leading universities and corporates.

SEO is an alumni driven programme and seeks to develop a new generation  of leaders that will inspire and give back to members of their community to raise their aspirations and in time ensure that the most prestigious industries are also the most inclusive. Once a student is accepted into SEO s/he becomes a member of a network of highly successful leaders.  Our alumni are well-represented as leaders in virtually every imaginable profession, and are all committed to using their success to create opportunities for the next generation. The global SEO alumni network encompasses more than 10,000 SEO alumni in over 45 countries.
